Help with removing air filter guard.!!!
well my aem cai came in today and were tyin to install it atm but there is a guard that is in the place of where the cold air intake filter is suppose to go. i took off all the bolts except for one which is located in a ackward place. i was thinkin of removing the bumper to get to it but my friend tells me it is pointless. so basically i need help on how to take out the air filter guard. any help will be appreciated.
Your friend isn't too helpful.
Take off the bumper. You need to take off the bumper to get all the stock plastic intake tubing out (that guard included). You also need to take off the bumper because you can't fit the cone filter into the hole where the guard is. Just take off the bumper, its pretty simple and easy. I think its 8 bolts to get it off. Once you get off the bumper, take out all the stock tubing. And install the aem cai piping, and finally put the cone filter where the guard is.

Screw that dont take the damn bumper off. Just get a big pipe or a wodden broom or something and bust it out from the top. You should be able to stick it right down in the whole and whack it. Just note if your car is low as **** its gonna be a bitch to get that thing out from under it.
