SOHCs with cams, springs etc...what do you idle at...
Right now I'm idling at 1100rpm, seems a little high but the guy I talked to from Crane said with my setup (Crane stage 1 cam, springs, titanium retainers) that I won't pull enough vacuum unless its up that high. If I try and idle at 1000rpm, it will occasionally take a **** when I put the clutch in and stall out.
So to all the other people with different cams etc in their SOHCs (really D16s, I don't care about the F22 guys
), what are you idling at? I'm not sure where the cam gear is set right now, but if its not 3 degrees advanced like they recommend, I'm going to bump it up and then see where that gets me.

you're pulling in more air at 1300 rpm compared to 500 rpm.. so ur wasting gas
