Default Aligning the LCA bolts...

How do you allign the LCA bolt holes that connect the rear lower tie bar.... i got the bolts off but can't allign it to put the bolts in. The front hole will line up but it seems as if the LCA is crooked or something because when i shine light through it i can only see the edge of the hole on the other side

Put your jack under the lca near the wheel hub and jack it up until it's lined up. Sometimes they're kinda tuff to get back in there...but can eventually be pursuaded back in. Good luck man.

Jam a big *** screwdriver in there and pry it into alignment, thats what I do. I have also used the method mentioned above as well. Both work and sometimes you need to do both.

Align it with the screwdriver and use a jack to hold the arm in place while you put the bolt in.

While pushing up with the jack (maybe put a piece of wood between the jack and the LCA, to prevent any possible denting), slide the bolt in one end, and jiggle it around while pushing in at the same time, as you slowly raise the jack. I do this all the time for the last LCA bolt I choose to put through (the first 2 are always cake, the last is the bitch).

depending on ur lcas... if they are stock or u dont care bout scraps heres what i did

I had megan racing lca's (which really suck bushing wise) and the bushing was pressed in on an angle. I installed a rear tie bar AND a new lca and it was a battle. First gotta make sure that u dont tighten up one side of the tie bar cause the other is going to be a pain in the ***. I actually had to use 2 ppl as i was under the car(on jack stands) with a nasty pair of channel locks to rotate the lca like no other. I did put scrape marks on the lca but i didnt care. I had a friend push the bolt for the tir bar through and thread it. I made sure it would go like butta.

I was basically battleing brand new bushing so it was hard as ****.... i ended up tearing my trailer arm bushings but they were shot anyways.

Hope this gives you an idea but like i said... i was dealing with a crooked bushing.

Heh, I had to lower the car down onto the wheel, with the lca bolt still out, to get it all to line up correctly. I've never seen my girlfriend as nervous as when I crawled under the car, then told her to lower the jack. Time to get some jackstands, working under the car with just the spare tire jack is going to hurt me one of these days.
