what do I to loose the belts to take the power steering and alternator belts off? GEN3
just wonder how to take the belts off.. what do i loose to get the belts sum slack for a 94 LS Thanks in advance

Have to loosen the belt tensioners and disconnect the lower motor mount to get the belts off.
I'm not sure how it looks on a LS, but on my GSR these are the bolts that i loosened to remove the belt. The top twister **** is what you want to twist counter clockwise and it will lower the whole system so you can remove the belt.

Thanks a lot for the pictures!! makes lots of sense.. i'm just wondering.. how do i know how high to adjusted the twisty thing back up to? or just till its tight... any tip on taking the alternator off too?

Thats a good question, i'd like to know too. When i put the belt back on one time i just twisted until it was tight again and it drove perfectly fine.

If you don't plan on putting the belts back on you can always cut them off. But actually that can be harder than it sounds. Some belts are hard to cut without a heavy duty sharp knife.
actually i asked this question because i'm installing underdrive pullies... ne tips on how to HOLD the pully from spinning when i'm trying to take the bolt off the power steering?? and also tip son alternator...
I hope you have impact gun.. If not take them to a shop.. Its a hell lot easier than using vice grips to hold the pulley etc.. if you're not careful u can break thise too.
