***hard water spots on windows*** how do i get rid of them????
tried searching but came up with nothing... i just bought a 1990 civic wagon, and it has horrible water spots on teh windows! i have no idea how to get them off! i thought it would just wash off, but nothing. any help would be gr8ly appreciated!
easy. superfine steel wool and dawn dishsoap and water. works wonders on glass. i do it about every 3rd or 4th time i wash my car. no, it wont scratch em, i did matt gieger (new york knicks) windows on his s600 v12 with em. if you know him, dont tell him i prefer to remain anonymous.

Yup. I've used it before, just don't do it while the glass is hot and be prepared to put some elbow grease into it.
Since hard water is mostly calcium, try something meant for removing hard water or calcium deposits. Like CLR cleaner(Calcium, Lime, Rust) for kitchens. If that doesn't work, try a pool supply store for something meant to get calcium scaling off of pool tiles.
And, um, not to assume you're stupid, but you've tried cleaning both sides of the glass?

Mostly ammonia with a little water thrown in for fun usually does the trick for me.

Clean with 0000 Steel Wool and vinegar. After that Klasse All-in-One (AIO) applied by hand or a random orbit polisher works really well. There are other places to buy this product, but I just picked a retailer.
