Just got 01 s2k. mods?
Just got a 2001 s2k 60k 15,500. Any ideas on what mods i should start off with that will get me the most power.. also, where can i order the 2005 OEM rims?
Yay he bought an S instead of a freewifty....
Now, for mods, let's warn you....don't buy Civic parts!
As for 05 OEM wheels, Honda will of course sell them...you might find some fool selling his on Ebay....other than that you're pretty much up a creek. In all actuality the AP1 wheels are a favored track wheel as they are smaller and a bit lighter....but if ya want the 05 wheels check ebay, you can check with Honda, but I just checked here and the wheels are 386 a piece if I was to buy them as an employee...so ...eh....
Either way, grats and welcome!!!

You want good power you have to go FI....you will spend a **** load of money and not get real strong power gains with any boltons IMHO.
btw...you want really good info on the s2k you have to join s2ki.com. Honda tech is for when you are bored and s2ki is dead.

Hey watch it! ....=P
As far as FI, there is some serious money to be spent to do it right, but it is ultimately the way to go for max power. There are many, (myself included to an extent), that believe NA is a more pure bred way of creating fun and reliable power. Just be weary with an S2k....most of the time the $$$ speaks when it comes to parts. There's a reason (most of the time) that AEM's intake is 175 and Mugen's is 350....just do your research, much like you did to decide to buy the car and make informed decisions and you'll love it for a long time...and it'll love you back....around 8k RPM...

I was under the impression that Mr. Moneybags had the cash to go slap a s/c on the S2000...now you ask what to do? lol. Save the money for gas...with the gas prices the way they are lately, its almost a neccesity.

Remember, he did drive a vette...and based on the typical attitude of corvette owners, buying one automatically makes you the best driver on earth...without practice. But hey...thats just an observation.

I've never seen this attitude with the majority of vette owners that I know. It is just another car to be passionate about. Now, a viper... the attitudes are there, and a .0001% of the owners know how to turn.

lol...do you know many vette owners? I have 3 good friends with Z06's, and i went to the southeastern corvette club meet about 4 months ago with him, we drove the S2000 because while talking we kinda figured that of any car we could have driven, they'd probobly have atleast a little respect for the car...i can tell you, no less than 20 times we heard the "honda sucks" comments, then of course you have the 40+ year old life crisis men in vettes that think the car and their newly purchased head of hair are god's gift to earth...
Frankly...the ONLY people with corvettes that i know and have ever met that were actually cool were my dad (and thats very sporadic) and young people (talking younger than 30 years old).
But again...just a personal observation.

Wow, your useless comment really added to this honda tech forum. To remind you, the question I asked was, What are some good MODS for the s2000. I asked this question after I drove and purchased my s2000, realizing that "slapping a s/c" wasnt the right move for a start-off modification. Again, your response gives me no information on what would a good mod would be. Instead, you spit out little phrases about Corvette owners. I am awaiting another response from you with some other useless information. The purpose of joining this forum is to gain information about HONDA, specifically the s2000. I have yet to see anyone with information about MODS.

Didn't you jump all over some people for saying you should not get a s/c right away? They were right huh?
p.s. go away

Ok pumpkin...i'll spell it out for you, since in your infinite wisdom, you seem to lack basic comprehension skills.
In your initial post you were asking about a supercharger for a car you didnt own, and from what you were discussing, hadnt had much experience driving. You asked what our opinion on said mod ($6,000 s/c) was. I responded saying get the car first, drive it then come back and talk to us about what you wanted to put your money towards (and whats funny is that after doing EXACTLY what i said, you came to your own conclusion that the supercharger was NOT something you wanted to do right off...basically meaning that my suggestion to you was not only predictive as to the decision you'd make after driving the car...just like i said...but it was also 100% relevant with what you asked.
Now...you've gone off a tangent and said some silly things, you've pretty much made yourself look like an *** on here, and you've finally actually purchased the car you wanted to talk about on this "honda website" (and let me fill you in on a little secret...since your still new...just becuase its a honda website, doesnt mean that posts are filtered from what you need to hear...good or bad).
So in the end...you actually did exactly what i said, you came to the conclusion that i was hoping you would ON YOUR OWN by driving the car and realizing what you wanted yourself (and not what everyone else would want)...yet you still come on here trying to insult me...make me feel small...by taking your cute little shots at me, and its ok, my mission was accomplished, you look like an ******* AND you did exactly what i thought you would. WIth the 100 posts a week just like yours just about, its getting really easy to predict you newbies.
Feel free to talk more **** though...enjoy your S2000 kiddo.

I still say you should get some track time in. Did you track your vette?
As far as mods go, you should at least get a comptech intake to justify your name. JASMA is another good company to look into.

i'll be nice. lower it, springs preferably, then you can move up from there. exhaust singles can squeeze some power. duals are mainly for looks but you too can squeeze something out of it. intakes have your pick, you want bling and function, go mugen or j's. pure function aem cai would do the trick too. headers i wouldn't recommend if you're going FI anyways, that's why i haven't gotten one yet because i can't decide on all motor or FI. other than that, just drive the thing and enjoy it

this is not directed at comptech s2k...
i think most corvette owners are douche bags also. i can say the same of fellow s2k owners. i am really young and when i see someone in an s that looks good i complement them. unless i am in the car they just assume that i am some kid with high hopes, and they give me some smartass remark, like "do good in college and one day you can have one too".
thats pretty arogant, but it still fails in comparison to most corvette owners. the new corvettes really are remarkable in terms of bang for buck, but they are still just a white trash ferrarri of sorts.
it only chevy forty ******* years to make it worth a ****.
maybe im just jealous because i want an extra fifty feet of width on either side of my s.
also, hypnosis and tally you guys crack me up
comptechs2k, dont get any big mods until you get usde to the car or you will crash.

Never claimed to know it all...nor would i want to know it all. I do however know how to read posts, and laugh when people like you get all flustered at responses on this messege board. I dont try to dominate this board, i hardly come on here...it used to be a great little S2000 nitch, but then people like you started flooding the gates with the "Hey, i think i might get an S2000, should i do totally cool awesome mods to it? Or should i do really awesomely cool mods to it? Whats the best turbo muffler bearing fluid?"
It gets old...combined with the "**** you man, i had a vette" attitude, you just seemed ripe for the flamming...and rightfully so, its the teens like yourself that make my wife and i want to sell our S2000 and get something less "associated".

The S is not for everyone. I've driven a vette and it was relatively easier to get around fast. Not just any bonehead can hop in an S2000 and go fast. 8 out of 10 S2000 owners couldn't maximize the potential of their STOCK S2000, but drive around in heavily modified versions. Waste of money and vehicle potential, not to mention decreased reliability due too poor selection of parts.
You want mods?
-Advan Neovas on OEM rims (~1000 a set)
-A seat that actually holds you in place (Bride Artis III Navi + Rail, $970)
-A clutch that doesnt smell or smoke like **** after aggressive driving (Exedy Single Carbon, ~$1100)
-Brakes. I've had good experiences Pagis RS-14 and Endless type M ($380 a set)
-Better cooling. My Koyo is worth every penny. Helps on those 90+ degree track days. ($375)
-Mobil 1, 0W-30 ($35 a case)
That came close to $4k. Even if you go FI you would have to spend a little bit of money on a clutch, tires, brakes anyways. Intake and header will become obsolete in the same case.
