New NDRA Class????
Thats like Turbo 6 class
and the supras are already the fastest in that class
Paul went 8.9 in a 6 speed
Its a 2JZ world in RWD classes
Unless you build a Full chassis 4cyl
and then add a hacked up body and firewall to pass
only NDRA tech....

yea its gonna remain a 2JZ ruled class reguardless.
They just keep getting quicker and quicker.
If track prep is good at Atco this weekend Paul will break that record again.
That car has soo much more in it.

Has anyone noticed that an event doesn't go by that the Supras don't show up at ? To me it seems to be one of the most consistent classes to watch on TV. The outcomes are usually 1 of 2 cars, but those 2 cars get as much exposure as any shown. You can set up the class so that others show up, but are they going to show up for 1 even here and there, then you get to areas where if Supras weren't running no one would be. Just a thought.
It sounds like a cool idea. Except the top 4 cars in the class are already set up to run the current class, and changing them back to more of a stock car would be PITA and in some cases not possible.

What people fail to realize is that only one of the four cars that everyone is talking about is legal to run faster than 8.50 in 2006. The rest of the cars will have to get thier chassis certed under the new SFI standards for 2006. Now, I already know that the 2 fastest cars in the current class are retiring after the 2005 season is over, another is going to Pro Outlaw, and another is being put on the side for Paisleys old car to run in another class. So what does that leave us with??
Why not start now, and build a class that AWD cars can compete in without having to build something like Afshars car?
Before you guys flame, I already know that Sheperd is competitive in his car, but most DSM guys with AWD cars want to compete in a street style class.
Even if any of this changes and 1 car returns for 2006, we are not planning on running any class in 2006 that only has 1 car in it. Just a bit of info for those who care.

Personally. In my situation in my car.
I wouldnt mind a class for slower RWD street tire cars. But the class is still gonna fly reguardless.
a 10-11sec range I can afford. lol.
Once they start going low 9's and high 8's I cant afford to go that fast and keep it a true street car lol. So I run brackets.

That is what turbo 4 is for.
Glenn How will you separate this new class from Turbo 6 (RWD)?

Well with that info I say the class would be a great idea. The class could be full of AWD, Rotary, and 4 cyl. RWD cars on whatever tire (prob. a slick) and 6 cyl on drag radials. Same manufacture trans. and same street style rules (like the sportsman classes).
Just change T4 to FWD street (4 or 6 cyl) and T6 to RWD street (AWD and RWD) That would take some out of T4 and add to T6 and you got two full (16 car) classes that will be competive every weekend.

Im not a 4cyl.
I would run Turbo 6, but I wanna run street tires ,but cant hang with the pro guys.
Doing something like the True street class for RWD cars would be cool.
I dont know the RWD classes too well as I just got into it, but there could already be a class I dont know about.

Then to keep this hypothetical RWD street class competitive, limit the RWD cars to tire's of a 255 measurement or whatever is fairest and something similar with the AWD's. Limit the turbo size, weight requirements, etc.
You've kept the all motor classes very competitive through the years, you can do the same with FWD/RWD street classes.

You are wrong on this, the Titan car will still be legal next year in its current setup.
