No one said that your car would not be legal, just that we have been told that it would be retired.

Yea Bottle, unless you have 4 more Supras laying around like the Copper one, we have a serious problem with the class. Just like Pro Outlaw FWD, there are just not enough cars for the class if three of the four go Outlaw RWD racing.

I think it is a step in the right direction. That class is silly right now.

Bottle -

I don't think you should talk about that. This doesn't involve $300, a Russian Stripper and the Crazy Horse, this is driving a race car we're talking about.

This is a Pro class we are talking about not a Sportsman class.

Besides that, if we could show all of the racing that everyone wants us to show, from the Pro's, to the Sportsman, to the ET/Bracket stuff to the Motorcycles, it would be a 2 hour show.
That is not our call, that is up to Speedchannel. All of the request on stuff like that needs to go to them not the NDRA.

As far as this class change idea goes, I think its in a good direction. The class will slow down to probably mid to low 9's. Considering they are running street legal tires, it makes sense to run a stock transmission. I personally am not building a car for this class so it doesnt really effect me.
What do you people think about a class like the Pro 4 Cylinder class but for the RWD folks? There are many chassis out there that are affordable and can be built for a reasonable price. Just an idea to think about.

Having a full class with competitive cars is the most exciting part about drag racing. I propose that this be a budgeted class that almost everyone can get into and still be a Pro level class. It will be open to pretty much any car. How we do this? Mainly trial and error. But we can start the rules out with what we know. Come up with rules limiting turbo size, tire size, tires (DOT, DR, Slicks) and maybe weight.

Start out with something like this:

Cyl ?WD Tire Turbo Weight
---- ------ ---- ------- -------

4 FWD Slicks 72 2000
4 RWD DOT 70 2400
4 AWD DR 70 2400
6 FWD DOT 70 2600
6 RWD DR 68 3000
6 AWD DR 68 3000

Everyone is limited to 26 inch tall tires. Trying to shoot for a mid to high 9 sec class.

Of course this table needs to be researched a little more. I just threw it togther in 5 minutes. But something like this might work.

Mark Mazurowski

So Glenn, if this is gonna be a pro class.what would be the purse for the championship.I think if people had an idea of what prize money is gonna be handed out during and at the end of the year.more people might be interested in doing the class.it sounds really interesting and really affordable.

Yea, Mark has a ton of good input on racing still, just because he stepped aside from driving for a couple years does not mean anything. I do believe he has something cooking though.
