Heya guys,

If you are using nitrous, please tell me which brand, what mods you have done, what kind...and how big of a shot and how long , and if any problems have occured.

I'm looking into a Zex Wet kit (safest from what i heard).

please give me some advice!

I ran an NX kit (75 shot wet) on my R for two months and was really dissatisfied. There were no reliability issues as that particular motor went on to make 190 at the wheels with just a Toda header and a VAFC. But I was particularly unimpressed with the whole ordeal altogether and ended up selling it.

May I suggest looking for power elsewhere.

I don't think there is such a thing as a safe nitrous kit if you're referring safe for your motor. Ive watched two of my friends blow motors on that stuff. N/A is the way........

Another fine post. Good job!

Nitrous is a perfectly acceptable and viable power adder. But I'm in agreement with Kendall. Look elsewhere for more power. Unless you're going to only use it at the strip/predefined areas, I'd personally would prefer something that was always and readily available (*Opps ... bottle is empty ... fawk!*). That's just me though.

I purchased my car from my brother-in-law a few years ago after he blew the engine with a ZEX kit. I rebuilt with forged pistons blah blah blah...

Anyway the cast pistons and rings just did not hold up to the juice and the motor finally gave it up. The sad part is there were grooves in the cylinder wall that required the sleeves to be bored the the largest size available-no more rebuilds on this block. You can build a motor for nitrous but if you are going to spend the time and money, there are better alternatives out there. I have used it in the past myself but mostly on old school carbed v8's. I would not use it on one of these cars.

Just my two cents...

Bottles are for babies

If you wanna shoot nitrous....get the power to your wheel and divide by 2 and thats how much you should shoot....and eventually you motor would be useless

Sure! Only if you promise to wrap yourself around a tree first.
