alright i just wannted to know what makes more power on a sohc?

 

i would say advanced 2 degrees

 

that whats i have on mines right now and i dont feel a differenace ...idk

 

I had a a6/y8 mini me which I dynod and it ended up making the most power at 2deg retarded.

 

everymotor is different so take it to the dyno and find out for sure.

 

my A6 makes its peak power in the RPM range set by the factory (7200 rev limiter) at +8 degrees....

i found that out on a dyno... and thats where you need to go... +2 on my motor was only 3hp.... +8 was 10.7hp

 

+8 degrees on stock internals ? and will it ruin the valves and all ?
