Default What type of A/C bracket is my Sol supposed to have?

My 94 VTEC's previous owner deleted the air conditioning, I'd like it back. I cannot use a Sanden TRS090 or TRF090 because the holes do not line up on my P30 a/c bracket. Did the previous owner somehow switch out my a/c bracket or is P30 possiblely stock? If so, what compressor fits the P30? And what other engines came with P30 bracket stock so I can buy from a bigger used car base.

I searched, and have found so much conflicting information it's not funny.

if it's indeed a del sol VTEC the bracket should be this Part # 38930-P54-000.

Or you can use this Part # 38930-P7J-000 from a CR-V which cost only half the price.

So what you're saying is the guy before me swapped brackets with a buddy who needed the a/c? That's entirely possible.

What about my P30 power steering? Will I have to change that back too if I get one of these p54 things?

If it's not original I'm betting someone did swapped on the bracket.

the power steering is exactly like the 5th gen civics aka EG/EJ and it won't be in the way. keep the stock power steering, just make sure the a/c bracket says P54 on it and you'll be fine.

Then what do P30 brackets come in originally?

I wasn't under the impression that brackets for DOHC would fit SOHC models,

The P7J bracket does not fit if you have power steering. Get the P54.

I called the honda dealership, apparently 96-97 VTEC's are supposed to have p30's. Really wierd that they changed to a different compressor mid chassis design for no apparent reason.
