How exactly do you hook stainless/prolite lines to the boost controller? the boost controllers have plastic nipples..

stainless lines are rubber on the inside, so just slip it onto the nipple and clamp it.

edit: most Parker stores sell it by the foot without fittings on the ends.

hahahahaha...just buy the npt to -an adapters and make the stainless line the correct way instead of the ricer half assed way. The line is really easy to construct and takes like 5 minutes.

The lines that run to and from my HKS wastegate & AVC-R solenoid are stainless steel while the line that runs from my vacuum block to the BOV is a rubber line with an AN fitting.

I'll try to post some pics later when I get home.

I there a remedy for the profec b solenoid?

Such as using the one pictured above, i mean....can you do that? I don't know much about the solenoid and swapping them out.

I don't like the small little nipples coming out of it though, thats for sure.

Bump for some info

Why don't you just use braided teflon -an lines with NPT adapters on both ends?

edit...I guess someone already suggested that.

i've been doing some research and discovered something startling;
apex and greddy use the SAME solenoid; and one can find that solenoid (generic 3 way 12v pnumatic solenoid) for very cheap if they look arond.

less than a third what apex wants for it

also if you need a new solenoid look for "EBCS solenoid" on google; this (smart) company sells these solenoids for $60 and they'll work with an avc-r; profec; any single solenoid style ebc

it's a 12vdc 3-way solenoid

there really isn't a way you can **** up the wiring the solenoid gets +12v and GND when it needs to be open or closed (depending on the valve side you use).

I'm probably going to make a big giant thread that will make all the big EBC sellers go when i get a few solenoids in and test 'em out with the Profec b spec 2 and my AVCR
