Default Toda B's with .015 thous off the head, and 2 layer?

well like it or not this will be my setup, I wonder if I will be slapping some pistons.

any input or anyone running something like this? how far can I advance the cams?

the clearance issue is beggining to worry me, and no I am not gonna drop in new pistons to get compression, I dont care that much

You will be fine. But you should clay the motor. Toda Bs arent just going to be a drop in mod. Your going to have to tune them with gears. Your not going to have any idea what your clearance is going to be with the head being milled. Last thing you want to do is slap the valve with a piston. It will be time for a new engine if that happens. Im running JUN IIIs with CTR pistons. I have very little room to play with

You'll be fine... I have .040 off my head and I and standard head gasket no problems with the B's

Well, if you use JE pistons, they have 40 thousands more clearance than rollerwaves...

so your way safer.

dont go to far on the advance, some people knock that up to like +7, i would be weary of that, and mike you should clay it to be sure anyway, talk to sgT isnt he doing your tuning, he will tell you for sure

How is it more reliable? A forged piston is much better than a stock cast piston in terms of detonation resistance.

its more reliable in the fact I am not touching my bottem end, every bottem end I have seen been takin apart has had some problem, not big, but I like my car to have stock reliability, plus I just swap a stock Type R head back on there take off my bolt-ons, for warrenty work, if I have RW pistons, i would have a hard time having acura warrenty any engine work

Thats kindof the price you pay for modding your motor man. Not to be a dick or anything, but thats fucked up if you mess your motor up, take all the mods off, and take it in for warranty

well I did pay for a warrenty when I bought the car, so I think I am entitled to use it,all new cars have fixed into there price the estimated cost of the warrenty repairs for that model of car. or its history of repair. when I bought my Type R, If i could of gotten back $800-1200 for the warreny I would of. however as a consumer moddifying my car and then taking my car into to warrenty work, I hurt no one, the only person that I am hurting by not taking it in is myself because I did not get full value for my car. everything comes down to economics. I will take my car for warrenty work if it comes to it.HOWEVER if I bend a valve MY faualt i replace the valce, I spin a bearing Honda's fault they fix my short block. because I didnt touch it. I am not scamming only asking for my fair share
