Default smogging a jdm intake manifold with evap purge on firewall. vx hatch

im planngin to smog my jdm motor soon. i know u have to have the evap purge on the intake manifold to show its a usdm intake manifold, but has anyone smog their VX hatch with the evap purge on the firewall?

hmm I wanna know the same thing too... I got a legal manifold with the spot to mount the EVAP but I wanna use my civic purge valve so I dont have to buy a gsr one. Any way around buying a new one?

so u have a civic vx as well? let me know if u do smog the car before me using the stock firewall evap purge

you need to make it look stock as possible. if the jdm motor you are using had the evap purge on the manifold you need to put it on the manifold. if it has it on the firewall you need to put it on the firewall. the refs have diagrams of each motor and car and you car needs to look exactly the same. I did a write up on how to convert a jdm manifold to usdm specs for my bar'd b16 coupe.

also all evap purge solnoids are the same, i used one from a dx motor and a gsr are the same for the b16

thanks alot. the motor i bought didnt have the evap purge on the intake manifold but the car already has the stock evap purge on the firewall
