Default 6061FORGED.COM How We build our wheels

Unlike most wheel companies we build our wheels in a very complicated time consuming process. Our process costs four to five times more than conventional cast wheels.

1. We heat the aluminum to 900 Degrees
2. Then we place it (still hot) into the press
3. The aluminum press spins the aluminum at 300 RPM then presses it with 4,000 tons of pressure.
4. The wheel is then removed from the rotary forging press
5. The wheel is split-spun to form it into the "wheel" shape
6. The wheel is machined in a computer controlled CNC into the final product.

The Rotary Forging process compresses the aluminum molecules tightly, eliminating air pockets and spaces (which cause cracks). This process creates a significantly denser stronger aluminum allowing us to use less of it to build the wheel thus creating a much lighter wheel. We never melt the aluminum. We also reinforced the rear lip of the wheel to increase the strength due to increase stress caused by lowered cars.

I like the mesh wheels, but I'm looking for 15s or 16s... I learned my lesson after my first set of 17s.
