Dont worry next week some jack *** is going to ask us if its ok to use those on a set of koni's. So we are going to link him this thread. After he reads this he is still going to come back and ask its it ok is he does X stupid sugestion. I think we should just let him get them. Thats really ******* crazy that the whole bottom of the sleeve just destroyed it self. Didnt he notice one side of his car droped like an inch?

Is it legal to use those two words that close together? I would think it would be like holding two similar polarity magnets together... they would just automatically, desperately push away from each other.
Please don't put them on a Koni circlip.

no because the otherside was just as bad

i had DZ coils on AGXs on my car for over two years and never had a problem.
based on the ends of the torn threads, it appears as if the non "reinforced" end of the sleeve was installed down. one end has about 3mm of non-threaded material that is considerably stronger than the other end. seeing as this happened to both sides, i bet someone screwed up the install.
no doubt, dropzone is "junk", but i've never seen this happen before when properly installed.
threads all the way to the end of the sleeve

reinforced end on GCs. i'm confident my DZ coils had this "reinforced" non-threaded end as well. i don't think it was as long, though

Maybe its not the DZ's fault, it may be that the shock was bad and it kept bottoming out, and the weight of the car eventually cracked and split the sleeve. I've had skunks before, and now I have D2's, so i never really first hand experieced an ebay brand coilover
as i said before i didnt buy these nor install them. they came with the car. the person that did install it sure did **** stuff up. didnt put cotter pins where the castle nuts where. and left the lower ball joint loose
. good thing i caught it when i did. **** was rusted stuck so we cut it off and banged it out and put a new one in there.
and also the shocks arent bad
