Default RSX TURBO KITS!!! NEED HELP!

Well i just got a 2002 RSX type-s and i am not sure on what kind of turbo kit is the BEST for it. I have been searching and i found kits such as GReddy and HKS and some Full Race Turbo Kits and a couple other ones. I dont wanna go too crazy with turbo, because it is also going to be a daily driven car. Max HP output i am looking for would probably be around 300HP-400HP. I also found a thread for Turbo'ed EP3's but i didnt know if that would be different or not considering its a different motor and chassis.

What turbo kit do you guys reccomend??? and how is the fitment and everything.

thanks in advance!

**Edit** 300hp-400hp and 200-300tq

In terms of compatibility, what is said about the EP3 kits applies to the DC5 kits. There are very few differences in turbo kits between these two cars... the most noticeable change being the larger diameter downpipe (and possibly IC piping) for the DC5 (3" vs. 2.5").

400whp? You ready to build up that bottom end?

seriously...

to the OP: there's a thread in GDD about the functionality of having a 400 HP+ daily driven car (honda)... yeah, it's possible, but you're not going to get there with a bolt-on turbo kit (which i'm assuming is what you want). there's a lot more work involved than just bolting some stuff on.

Well, you could certainly get there with any of the main three kits, though it would be easiest with CN, and hardest with Greddy. Personally, if it was me, and I KNEW I was going for 400whp and didn't care about the fact that I'll have no traction etc etc, I would want to save up for none of those and get the Full-Race kit. You're looking to put a shitload of power into your car and have it stay "reliable"... no sense in getting anything but the best. Just my .02

REV HARD and DRAG aren't gonna give you very much reliability. I think its the rev hard kit that puts an external wastegate on only one runner of the turbo manifold. Thats a great idea. A Full-Race turbo kit would be much more reliable than drag or rev hard. It would also make way more horsepower than a Greddy or HKS kit and still remain more reliable if it's put together correctly. You said you plan to rebuild the bottom end anyway so why would you want a restrictive kit ? A built motor will take as much air as you want to give it as long as your tuned, so there's no point to sell yourself short.

Even though i'm a big fan of Greddy because of their quality/reliability, I would say for a higher horsepower range the FullRace kit would be the safest bet reliability wise because of the power you're looking for.

Oh holy mother of God, why would you ever need 400 hp on a daily driver?

I wouldn't recommend turboing it. Your engine will DIE.

hks turbo kit is something i would recomend, simply beacuase hks has been in the industry for a very long time. Not only will u get good amount of horsepower, but also very good reliabiltiy. besides the good thing bout this kit is that u can easily make more hp with few upgrades.

found this on clubrsx

"Well as promised i broke the old record, and im done. Im stopping here and waiting until I get the built motor in. IN case you were wondering this was done with a half tank of 93 pump, and half tank of c16 with 18psi and a GT35R. the final results were 515whp, and 359wtq @ 18psi. It also made 424whp, and 319wtq @16psi on just 93 pump gas with very little tuning. I will have the dyno graphs of both the runs on pump, and the one with the pump/race gas mix.

cliff notes: 515whp 359wtq @ 18psi on the stock motor with a half 93 pump gas, and half c16 mix. And 424whp, and 319wtq @ 16psi on all 93 pump with very little tuning.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible: Stan @Fast-Turbo.com for the fuel system, Matt@One-Fab for the GT35R and new Manifold, and Jason aka St00pid for the awesome tuning that brought it all together."

Drive a high powered FWD car on the street and you'll see.

well thats what i plan on doing is driving a high powered FWD car on the street, actually now that i think about it alot of people do that, considering this is honda-tech and more than half of the cars on here are high powered FWD cars that are driven daily and on the street, and who said anything about StRe3T RaC3z y0! i will be taking this to the circuit or to the strip when i want to race it. but i would like to have it as a car that can take me from point A to point B also. and if you dont have any helpful info on any rsx turbo kits, then please dont waste my time with your useless garbage.
