Default Problem with Apex N1 Exhaust

I have stock 99 GSR, and I recently bought an Apex N1 catback, and I went to put it on, but it doesnt fit, it was about 4 inches too short lol. I have no idea why its short except for the fact that I might have gotten the wrong exhaust, altho it said 94-99 GSR b18c1 on the box. Is there a company that can make custom catalytic converters, or should I just get a pipe fabbed up to eliminate the cat all together? Thanks.

Almost any place can extend your cat...but I think you got the 00-01 gsr exhaust...

So he's gonna run with a 1 ft gap between the header and exhaust?

They most likely put a '00-01 GSR exhaust in the '94-99 box. Not very good QA..

My friend has the Apexi N1 on his '95 GSR and it was the proper length.

Are you the original owner? Is it possible there 's a shorter CAT in there (like 13" carsound) and a custom exhaust that you 're replacing?

Im not the original owner, but Its the stock exhaust. I will probably just fab up a pipe then.

why don't you try calling them up and tell them to send you the correct exhaust for your car and pay to ship this one back?

Thats what I would do

Theres no sense in paying good money to have something fabbed to fit when you paid for something that was supposed to fit in the first place.
