Default Anyone know a shop in MD that sells Carsound Cats?

Some recently told me the name of a shop off Pulaski Highway near Whitemarsh MD that sells Carsound Cats, but I can't remember the name and the PM is no longer in my history.

I need to pick one up 16" 2.5" through by Wednesday to get a repair order signed and in the mail to the cops. Can anyone reccomend a place? And I called and left a message with Dave from SMS as well. I assume he will be getting back to me some time today.

Thanks guys

Magnaflow == Carsound.
http://www.car-sound.com/

You can get Magnaflow high flow cats at Midas exhaust shops.

Also try pep boys, autozone, advance auto parts, etc.

Also, Magnaflow has a dealer locater.

I can't just tell them Type R, cause its aftermarket....

Well, yeah, but you can show up to any exhaust shop and explain what you need.

Dealer locator, http://www.magnaflow.com/03dealer.asp

Edit, any reason you're hung up on Carsound? do you just need 'any' 2.5" cat? Just go to any exhaust shop, they have all sorts of universal stuff.

thanks guys, and no carsound doesn't matter. Any cat 2.5 in and out will do. I think I may just unbolt a friends 2.5" off his GSR for a day and put if on mine. Might be the easiest way and I could prolly do it in about an hour and maybe get it on mine in 2.

And I need a bolt up not a weld, and his is bolt up to a 4-1 header like mine, so I think I can make it work long enough to pass the inspection....

I went by the police station today and a officer told me that even if i didn't get it signed in 30 days, I would be given another notice allowing me 30 more before I lost my registration. So I have a little more time to play around with it looks like, even though I will try and get it all done Wednesday

If you are going to buy a Carsound cat. save yourself some money and just get a test pipe.

Can you recommend a reasonably priced and immediately attainable substitute for the poster?

He needs it quickly, that's the problem.

thanx for the help guys. Dave is close enough to drive to if it comes down to that. And thanx for looking out George.

I am going to try bolting a friends 2.5" exhaust up to mine. Cat is a little longer but it should fit well enough to get me passed the inspection process.

I have a SMS testpipe that I just ordered from Dave and installed about 2 months ago.... I just need to through on a cat for a day to pass this stupid repair order and then pop mine back on.

Now that's entirely not true. Ive been using a carsound 2.5" cat from Dave at SMSP for almost 2 years and haven't had 1 problem. And my car sees a a good amount of track time as well.
