No luck with clutch bleeding. Need Guidance!!!
I just got done putting my tranny back on and the clutch pedal was non existant. Just fell to the floor. So i went and started bleeding it. I had someoe pump the pedal till fluid started coming out. I did this baout 6 times. for the last time the pedal was being pressed to the floor making fluid coming out and i tightened the nipple before the pedal touched the floor so there was no air. BUT, the pedal is NOT stiff still. Do i have to start the car?
try this:
- open bleed valve
- friend push in clutch (fluid should shoot with force... not drip)
- close bleed valve
- friend pull pedal back to "normal" position (with valve closed, should prevent air in the lines)
- repeat until reservoir hits low
- add fluid to max line
- repeat entire process
I do this until the fluid is completely clean. Be sure you keep an eye on the fluid level. Doing this with the cap off and letting it get below low, or pumping the pedal without closing the valve when raising the clutch will introduce air into the system. not good.
hope this helps.

im an idiot. When he pulls the pedal back up the valve is still open. I thought that if fluid is coming out then there is no air. Ill do this today.
ANother note. The reservoir is damn near empty.. Do i just fill that and bleed the **** out of it until there's no air?

**you should know when there is no air when the fluid comes out in a steady stream.

Sounds good. What do you guys think about the tool made for bleeding brakes? The tube and handheld pump... you guys prefer this?
