REF ticket...Want to get BAR approved...
Whats up...I got a 93 del Sol Si with a JDM B16A SiR2 LSD, and a while back at HIN in LA i got caught up in the bust. No front plate, modified exhaust (damn SPOON N1), tinted windows, no VIN on tranny (marked as misdemeanor), modified emissions (had to clear through ref). Well luckily my motor and tranny have the stamp from HMOtorosonline.com. And as usual the cops are clueless as to wat they are looking at so this night they had their lil groups of guys that claim to know wat they are looking at and they are like Japanese this swap that...and where the VIN huh? I came off and they laughed in my face...and they were like where u get this how much u pay for it i was like i got it from HMO and they were like oh that's wat that stands for (cuz its a lil stamp after B16A (HMO)) fucken lames
anyways they let me go with a fat citation that required an add on page (im proud of that one) so i just drove off luckily i didn't get my car impounded, i guess it helps when your story is straight. Anyways got the tint, plate, exhaust, signed off, the CHP did a VIN check on the motor and the tranny has the same stamp as the motor from HMO and i got a nice new VIN plate for my tranny and a letter stating they were dismissing the misdemeanor and my car was free of stolen parts. I went to the ref and i was told my car motor could qualify under engine replacement cuz del Sol's came with B16's 94+ so i need the necessary sensors in the right places they were gonna run the test but supposedly it kept turning off on them so they didn't test it but he gave me a vacuum diagram and told me i needed to have a EVAP Purge control Solenoid Valve on the intake manifold (got it done) and Map sensor on the throttle body (got that), now im going to get a USDM B16 del sol ECU...wat else do i need? I went to court and based on my circumstances i got a deal to just plead no contest to modified exhaust (27150 i believe) and all other violations including the dreaded trip to the ref so judge ordered me to pay 100 and that was dismissed to...**** I GOT LUCKY...but i still want to go through with getting my Sol approved...so I would really appreciate any help...
oh the motor is a STOCK 2nd B16A stock header, got the air box, and stock muffler on right now with 2.25" piping

DAMN, how about some paragraphs and periods in that thing. PM Luserkid on here, he got his car Bar'd and im sure he wont mind you askin him a few questions. I live un-bar'd so I dont know exactly what else you need
wow, the ref actually gave you a vacuum diagram?? i wish the refs i went to were that nice. Anyways, the only thing jdm motors are missing (when compared to usdm motors) is that evap purge control solenoid valve. If everything is stock, as you say, then from you are telling us, you should have everything in place to get your car BAR'd.
Usually, when you visit the ref the first time, they will give you a print out of everything that you are missing in order for you to pass. If he says the only things you are missing is the evap, map sensor, and ecu, then you should be good to go.
Check to see if you have an 02 sensor hooked up to your cat. Thats the only other thing i can think of that you didnt mention.
Bring your receipt for your motor.
Make sure there are no loose wires or vacuum lines.
Make sure youre not throwing any CEL with your new ecu.
Try to make the engine look as stock as possible. ie, no orange spark plug wires, etc.
And if you know you can pass the sniffer, you should be ok.
