My buddy's 94 integra LS won't start. The stereo, headlights, power windows all work but when he goes to start the car the starter just clicks. His cars starts no problem when we bump start it and stays running just fine.
Now if i put a wire directly from the battery to the starter and it starts then is it safe to assume that the starter isn't the problem? And that it may be the ignition switch?

 

Check the connections on the starter, sounds like it isn't getting enough juice.

 

it could be the starter solenoid is shot.

true. i had same prob on my 90 civic si b16. it was the starter solenoid. i had to use the push button starter till i could replace it.
