Default Megan Racing products

Hey everyone got a question..... im wondering how the Megan Racing NA type exhaust sounds along with the build quality, also i was thinkin about getting one of their Stainless headers too but i never really heard much about them so i was curious if anyone here has this combo and how well they performed and if the build quality is there like the other top brands. Another thing thats got me wanting this exhaust is its 2.5 in piping which everyone else is 60mm granted its not much bigger but its so much cheaper than all the others.

the exhaust is great.. the quality is awesome for the price and it sounds really really deep. not the leaf blower sound like some others... there is a huge thread on here about the Stainless headers too...

My Megan exhaust sounds good, though i can't say I gained enough power to notice it since I'm just a H23 with intake and exhaust.

i noticed a significant top end gain. it pulls much harder all the way to redline. and im running the stock cat and all. really easy bolt on. took me about an hour and a half to put both on. just watch out for the hangar on the header, it hangs on two studs on the back of the block, and the holes on the hanger might be too small. i had to drill oout the holes on the hanger to make them fit.. goodluck

they may sound great but they are crap quality. I wouldn't recommend them. I've seen 4 headers in the last year where the bracket tore right out of the b-pipe and left a huge hole. If you do buy it, make sure you don't connect that bracket. Like most other things for cars, you get what you pay for.

def. agreed, save up some more money and get a quality name......dc is only 300 bucks, it will be worth it in the long run, plus you will see tons more gains, taht junk is crap

if you'd like to go with megan just go with exhaust, but for header, i'd stay away from it...just my $.02

they replaced the thinner guage steel with a thicker guage steel recently, so they have tried to eliminate that prob

the link i posted up in the very SECOND post of this thread is huge and has alot of PICS and information of the dc sports and the megan header.

the dc header also has a problem with that upper bracket. use 2 large washers with the bolts and it holds much better for some reason. it worked for me.

as for the exhaust i dont know. you did ask about running a test pipe or hi-flow cat. two things here, if you care at all about polluting the world you live in then you will use a cat. not using a cat on a lightly modified car is not gonna do you much good. also, if you are running a NON-CHAMBERED muffler like the N1 or N1 style megan header and a test pipe then your car will be LOUD as ****. even if you have 420 thousands resonators it wont matter. i dont know what kinda exhaust sound you like but your better off with a hi-flow cat in my opinion. My opion counts at least alittle too cause i have had both any questions ???

an apexi n1 look alike off ebay my only complaint is that real apexi n1 should exit the car at an angle and this one doesn't but all in all clean welds an all stainless mandrel bent tubeing for 260

not 100% true. like i said before, i dont recommend driving without a cat, however i did at some point. i had a dc header, test pipe, and apexi ws catback. it was super quiet and deep sounding even without the cat. the ws sport has a large resonator but what does the trick is the "cambered muffler"

On ebay TOP SPEED mufflers are good I had a cat back one on my 99.5 Golf fittament was great all I did was tac weld it to keep it from moving since its bolt on the sound was deep and not loud at all. Megan does well also. Maybe someone should do a write up on OBX vs Megan vs Top speed products it will trully give us a good idea of the true quality... when we have a dyno day I will do it
