Why the S dosen't have power lock?????????
I just finished washing my car and it totally make me proud of having one. THE CAR IS BEAUTIFULL, BUT, Why does the S is not equiped with a power lock system????? I mean the car, to me, is fully completed with important details that make the car WHAT IT IS!! (The BEST DAMN THING) But if you are inside the car and you are picking someone you need to reach the passanger lock bottomand open it manualy??? That just not cool for the S.
save weight.... just click your keyfob twice and make sure both doors are unlocked when you get in the car then you wont' have to worry about reaching over and unlocking the door
The Enzo Ferrari doesn't have that option either, nor does it have power windows. I don't think it's entirely necessary in the S2K to have power locks. The car is small enough that it isn't difficult to reach over and unlock it by hand, not to mention there's not really anywhere to put the control for it on the panel. If it weren't for the auto top I would opt for a no power window option(unnecessary weight).
Many convertables dont have internally accesible power door lock buttons, but the car itself does in fact have power door locks. One of the biggest reasons it doesnt have buttons on the interior of the car is that it would be easy to simply unlock the door by reaching over and hitting the button with something...
Thats just one reason.

Why DOES it have power windows, power locks, a power top, air conditioning, leather seats, etc... I can do without all that stuff. Getting rid of it would also cut about 150lbs off the weight of the car.

Honda isnt in the market to make it a pure track car...they give it some liveability for street use, and i can tell you, if it was without all of those things, it wouldnt have lasted more than a couple of years. Just ask Mitsubishi how the sales of their RS Evo have gone...lol. Strip a car of the creature comforts people expect, and you cater the car to about 2% of the market that will buy it.

The newLotus Elise has A/C and they are pretty nuts about keeping the car as lite as possible. If you don't want the A/C, it is simple to take out but that first hot day afterwards...
I too wish the car had internal power locks. Since it already has power locks, it isn't because of a weight savings.

But it does have power locks; as mentioned you have to use the remote. They must have decided not to put another button in the door.Modified by 2000S2000Mike at 3:21 AM 8/16/2005
