Default Problem starting after rebuild of my ITR motor

Ok here you H-T guys go, Im out of ideas..

Specs on what I have.
95 Civic Hatch
97 spec ITR
GSR harness
P06 ecu (92-95 SOHC DX ECU), i have a p28 but it is out getting repaired...

I rebuilt my Intergra Type R motor. Im having problems with getting it to start. I have a GSR harness on it.

Problem: hard to start. Most of time it doesnt. (Never consistant on what it does) Sometimes it will run for 5 seconds then dies, today i switched the map and TPS and it ran for like 15-20 seconds then died. Only code i throw is an O2 sensor. (Im looking for a newer one to replace it.)

Another problem, when i actually get it to run for a little bit, ill give it gas, or remove a vacuum line, and it will die immediatly.

I cant really think straight right now, but thats the main problem right now....

Someone help me out!!

you said you give it gas and it dies. does it misfire at all???? sounds like an air/fuel
mixture problem or ecu. you said your p28 is getting repaired??? oooh, a p06 sohc ecu on a type r motor? try your p28 when you get it back. also do you have a fuel pressure
guage???? knowing your fuel pressure would help too. is the timing stock??? you mentioned the 02 sensor also. the 02 wreaked havoc on my buddies car, it didnt run right forever. go to the parts store and buy a cheap one just to see if it helps.

are you sure the p06 ecu is the way to go when starting your car? I'm not too well experienced in this but are you sure the ignition maps a/f maps are good for your freshly rebuilt motor? I'd say get the right ecu w/ the right maps and start from there, maybe that'll solve your problem

Yea dude I dont think that P06 will run that motor right at all... that could be your problem. See if you can borrow a friends P30 or chipped P28 for a B18 and try that before you try anything else.

the p28 is stock, except for a skunk2 chip for vtec and redline, from waht i know. Ill get a new O2 sensor and try taht, thansk everyone

Fuel pressure is at 60psi full throttel, and 55 idle.

Timing is stock. No backfires

i'll have to dig thru my mountain of paperwork for a sec to find oem fuel pressure specs for ITR but i know on my b16a oem pressure is below 40 psi at idle (i think its actually around mid 30's). and same thing on the b18a/b. which means the ITR fuel pressure cant be that much higher. you're fuel pressure shouldnt be that high. bring it down to about 40 at idle and see what happens. you only recieve better fuel flow up to a certian pressure. i know for a fact that when your fuel pressure is that high it will actually cut down the fuel flow. as wierd as this sounds it is absolutely true as a performance guideline. this might be why the car dies when you hit the gas, the fuel pressure jumps that much more which is killing the fuel flow just that much more. i am not making these assumptions with your ECU in mind so by all means please get the right ECU back in there before
you try anything else. as the other members posted, the fuel maps and a/f ratios probly arent the same, and think about it, your running a sohc ECU on a DOHC motor. but either way your fuel pressure doesnt need to be that
high unless your running a decent amount of boost.

the po6 will not run the motor the fuel injector sizes are different everything is different like you said it might start it ,but think you have a computer that is made to operate one cam on an engine that has two non-chipped it will not work at all.

heres my thinking. everybody runs a p28 (stock 92-95 ex/si ecu for a b series swap thats obd 1(at least its common where i live), b4 the rebuild i had the fuel at 60 at full throttle and it ran like a dream, all i did was put a Spoon head gasket on, it shouldnt matter that much, only increased my compression by 4 to make it 11.5

after farting around with my car last night, everything i tried didnt work.

Story on the p28 - I took out the itr and put a d series in for about a month to work up money and have time to do the work on the itr. While we were installing the d series, the ecu smelt like smoke, i took it apart and a chip inside it was burned. I talked to Ih8ricerz (ECU man on H-t, also the guy who chipped the ecu)about it, and he really hasnt done anything for me. I have pics of the ecu if you guys wanna see it... I asked him if my car would still work with the condition the ecu was in, he said that he had a previous customer that had the same part burned and their car ran fine..

Anyway, after last night I took the wire harness off and we are going to make sure everything is straight, cause the harness was hacked a little bit, were gonna resolder everything and make sure its perfect....

At this point my friend and i think its wiring....

Also this morning I had an idea where i think VTEC is stuck on, maybe tahts y it idled for ****.... Just a thought

But in a day of two i should have the harness back on teh engine.

Sorry for the long post....just trying to be descriptive as possible!
