Default Just got my car back, sucking down oil!!! HELP!

hey I just got my accord back, itsa 00 lx with the f23. I just bought a brand new engine, had it sleeved at golden eagle, crower rods, cp pistons. I have put 250 miles on it since i got it, not boosting it at all and it seems to have gone through a quart and a half of oil. What the **** is going on here? its not leaking, there is no blue smoke, and i had this ******* problem before the car went in on the last engine. The only thing i am using off of the old engine is the intake manifold. Where the hell is the oil going? does it have something to do with the ******* turbo? this **** is really pissing me off. If any of you guys could help me out here that would be awesome... no one can figure it out.

brand new engines consume oil for usually the first 1000 miles or so....typica;;y you know break in is done when the engien stops consuming oil, but if it lasts longer than 1500 miles usually you failed to seat the rings.

Although the same complaint, they may be unrelated.
On your original F23, the possibility that the oil ring land (groove that it sits in) may have collapsed, rendering the oil ring(s) ineffective.
On your new F23, The rings may not have set (worn in) yet. It's very important that the sleeves and rings are compatable as far as metalergy is concerned. You can use any combination of sleeve/ring as long as it was not chrome sheeve, chrome rings. You can use Iron/Steel sleeves with chrome rings or chrome sleeves with a cast iron ring; but never, never chrome / chrome. They will never wear in and will continue to pump oil.
A second possibility IS your turbo. If the shaft seals leak, the turbo will pump oil whenever the engine runs.
It only has several places it can go (the oil that is).
1) Coolant system (cracked block, blown head gasket)
2) Past an external seal (rear main seal, timing cover seal, etc)
3) Past an internal seal (valve stem, ect.)
4) Past the oil control rings
5) Past the turbo shaft seals (2)

Okay, so i took the car back to the shop. We drained the oil out of it and the **** was black as hell and had the consistancy of water. Also it smelt very heavily of gas..... The engine has been running extreamely HOT, it has also been backfireing and burning the **** out of my rear bumber. Could the fuel pressure be to high? i think there is too much fuel in the cylinders, slipping by the rings and mixing in with the oil, breaking it down and burning it up. Also whenever i start the car it blows out black chunks of some carbon ****, it dosen't smoke though as far as i know.

Thanks Guys!

sounds liek you are burning a lot of oil and your rings are not seating wince they are being washed out by gasoline.

if your rings did not seat properly, you will need to rebuild that part as you will definately be burning oil with in a few thousand miles even if they do solve the issue. Those rings are shot

fuel is surely your problem. the fuel is washing down the cylinder walls and causing your rings not to seat properly. hurry and correct your problem, or you could knock out your bearings

If this had happened to an engine that was already broken in, I would not be so worried but since this is a new engine and the dude messed it up before it was broken in, the rings did not have a chance to properly seat. Trust me on this one, that engine will be buring crap loads of oil shortly..

Yea so its burning about 3/4 of a quart every hundred miles. Also the car stalls out every time i put the clutch in, unless i rev it up to about 3500 rpm right before i come to a stop. And yes there is something else. I pulled the plugs and the spark plug in cylinder 1 is caked with black **** after 100 miles while the others are squeaky clean. Is this an ignition problem? misfire or some ****? could it be related to the shitty idling? At this point i ****** hate hondas, i already have to have the piece of **** rebuilt. I just want to sell it and need to figure out what i need to do to get it runnin right.

save yourself the trouble now and just put in new rings. that's your problem, as has already been stated.
