Default No Fuel Pressure, kinda tough

sup guys, this is the questions for all you integra smarties all across the world. just to start off, i did searched, and searched for 1 year.

here it goes, this is my problem. every now and then my car will not start on me or will die while driving. i have a fuel pressure gauge and i can tell that i am not getting any pressure. i replaced and resolder two of my mfr. and the problems still occurs every now and then. i even went to the extend and in hopes of solving this problem by replacing my fuel pump with a type R one. but then just last month it died on me on the freeway so i thought maybe that took a **** on me too. so just today i receieved a walbro 190lph fuel pump and swaped it out. i drove it to dinner but when i came back out 2 hours later i was not getting no fuel pressure again.

if you guys can think of anything please reply

things i changed:
fuel filter, old one was dirty
two fuel pumps, one type R, one walbro 190lph
two resolder main fuel relays, both still clicks
two fuel pressure regulators, one b&m, one stock

no remember guys i didnt change all this at once. i change one thing and it will start but days later it will die and then i'll changed something else.

i was gonna say check the main relay cause that is a common prob... especially in the summer because the heat tends to cause dry joints in the solder --seems as though you have this covered though

perhaps you could check your injectors .... this wouldn't so much explain the lack of pressure but may be helpful to you. hopefully someone else on here has some better ideas

Check for fuel injectors and their connectors. It might be that one is staying open and dumping fuel. Does it smell like gas when this happens?

The only thing else I could think of is kind of far off, but if your ignition wire from the key cylinder loses power then the car will shut off causeing the pump to stop also.

Good luck.

Edit: Wiggle the inj. connectors with the car running to check them.

I meant the wire that comes off of the key cylinder in the steering column. I don't have an Integra so you'd have to ask someone who does. (sorry) Someone with a service manual should be able to tell you the color of the wire. When you find out which wire it is wiggle it with the car running. It sounds like a loose wire or connector to me, just because it's intermittent.

while it is intermittient, what i dont get is that it can start and will shut down by itself, even if nothing is moved or touched. at times i even wiggled all my wiring underneath my dash as my mfr is there and my ingition wiring is there too. i highly doubt that can be the cause.

when u turn the key to the ON position, do u hear the fuel pump priming? the ecu controls the fuel pump and sometimes the parts inside the ECU can go bad. i had that happend to a P28 ecu i had. if u have an OBD1 ecu, remove it from the car and open it up. u will notice a few electrolytic capacitors (black and grey canister looking things) the ones on position C14,C15,C100,C18,C19,C24,C21 are the ones i changed and it fixed the problem. Usually its a failure in C14.

but try a new ecu in the car and see if the car will start up before u go ripping apart the ecu.
