I have and 01 civic. I just got a GS motor to put in the civc. I was wondering if I could put a GSR head on it.

 

gs motor is same as ls motor.

im in a nice mood so i wont flame you yet.... search ls/vtec and you will find what you need.

 

If you have a car that relatively new, why are you taking out the motor? Just spend the money that it's going to cost you to do the LS/VTEC correctly, along with putting it in the car on building your current motor up/boosting it... IMO!!

 

Thats what i thought, i just wanted to make sure because im picking up the head tomm.

Im getting all the parts for real cheap and im getting the motor put in for free. I thought about building up my current motor but would you rather have a civic motor or a ls/vetc

 

If it's that cheap... Then I'd go with the B series... If you had to pay to have it all done, then I'd go with boosting the D17... You can't just smack on a vtec head... There is a lot more to it than that... If you really want it done right, putting out it's potential horsepower, and reliability...
