i'm throwing the code P1259 or vtec system malfunction, but my vtec works,the car is 2000 gsr with drag 3 turbo kit. any ideas?

 

Oil level ok? 90% of the time its low oil level. If thats ok there is a flow chart to check the system could be a poor connection, open wire, the solenoid itself or maybe just an intermittent failure that would be fixed by just reseting the light.
You can start by doing that, rest the light if it comes back on then diag is necessary if not youre good. I can fax you a copy of the flow chart, let me know. Good luck
