please help me with my water pump...
okay so yesterday. i repaired my radiator adn thermostat...a job well done...well as i turned on the car i could already see the antifreeze coming out. apparently i didn't just have a radiator leak. i also have a water pump problem. i have to replace that now. the problem is i have no idea how to fix it. i do have the chilton's how to manuel but i was hoping maybe someone has a little info. is this a job i should try on my own or should i take it to a shop. PLEASE help me. as all you honda guys know. it never fails. there's always something else. thanks.
Well what do you have as of tools. Also what kind of motor do you have. To do the water pump you will basically have to do a timing belt job and the only hard part IMO is the crank pulley bolt. If you have impact or air tools it should be no problem. I actually just did my timing belt but NAPA auto parts gave me the wrong water pump so i risked it to go with the same water pump. I did mine on a B16 in about 2 hours with a lift and air tools. I know with a B series engine too you have to get a new valve cover gasket. Basically if you dont have an impact gun, the crank pulley bolt will be a bitch.
well i just have the d15 std motor. i know it's nothing but it's my dd and i have no other choice right now. i don't own any air tools or lift but do have a lot to chose from with maunel tools.
