GSR block girdle in LS block

GSR block girdle in LS block

I picked up a GSR block girdle and 3 main caps from the GSR... can i pretty much just bolt the GSR main caps and girdle on my LS block with no problems as long as i match up the bearings?

No, you have to install the girdle, torque it to spec and have the mains align honed, it is by no means a bolt on.

I dont think the LS windage tray will clear the girdle, I know for my LS/Vtec, I purchased a new pan, p/u, tray, and girdle from Len.

you will need a GSR or Type R windage tray, oil pick up and Oil Pan. And It is NOT, I said Not a direct bolt on, take it to a machine shop.

Yup, thats what my homie did with his LS/Vtec. Took the block to the machine shop to get it installed and aligned. good luck
