Default Broken axle suggestions anyone?

Tonight at MIR I broke an axle....passenger side...

for those of you that have broken axles...have you seen any other damage in addition to the broken axle?

also....

for those of you that have broken axles...what (if anything at all) did you upgrade to?

im pushing 183 hp and 129 tq NOW but hope to be into the 200-210 range when brad finishes my head and I get cams in it...

if you guys have any suggestions as to what axles to use I'm all ears...

thanks guys

Dave

I was wondering the same thing too. What else breaks when you snap an axle?

I've changed alot of axles, i'm on the bottle right now and am pushing well over 200 at the wheels, just buy stock ones from auto zone with a lifetime guarantee, they'll probably break about every 6 months but you buy one $300 set and you'll never have to pay for them again.....ever.

I heard NAPA axles are better and lifetime waranty. What gets damaged beside the axle itself?

Only reason why AutoZone, Pep Boys etc. have lifetime warranty. . .is the axles they sell are rebuilt ones. So the one you bought and broke less than 2 miles perhaps wasn't rebuilt properly.
