what brand keepers and retainers were you running? we had a set of stock keepers on crower retainers, and they started pulling through. luckily we found it before it broke
i think Ferrea is the way to go because they supply new keepers with their setups. ive been over 11k on my head more than a few times and havent had a problem yet. the race car revs to 10k and hasnt had a problem yet either.(knock on wood)

again dave sorry to hear about that mishap. im with everyone else with the idea that you should rebuild. even if you dont get it done till next season, youve come this far at least get it to the point where you can enjoy it a little before you move on.
good luck.
