i just got another head for almost nothing and i have an ls block i can use. looks like it will have to do till next year.

I think the valves is to blame. I"ve seen SI industries valves and other brand break the head off the valves like that because of the springs being very stiff.

OEM shortblocks are the **** anyway. Throw that head on the LS shortblock and race PW/S at Atco

Sorry to hear this man. Gitwidit's car just did something very similar on the #1 cylinder. His car was using supertech valves... one intake and one exhaust both snapped off just like this. We arent too sure why this happened either. Hope everything works out though... dont give up.
