Default engine swap ?

Ok I have a 1989 Honda Civic HB it has a
D15B2 and a 4-speed trans
I'm looking to do an engine swap
but I've hered so much crap about diff. engines
B16,B18,B20,H22,ZC and all that

All I want is to go fast for $1,400 or less

What would be good for me
What engine & trans
