Default A screw is in my tire.

After rolling around in my brand new kumho 711's for 1 week, I find a screw (self tap) stuck deep in the tread of one of the tires... I waited 2 weeks now with it still in the tire and I still drive it around. I noticed that there is no leaking. The only thing that is annoying is I could hear the "click-click" sound on the road as the screw hits the pavement every rotation. What to do? Will my tire blow up soon?

Option 1: Take out the screw

Option 2: Leave the screw on

Have someone patch it? Depends on where the screw punctured.

where did you get the tires? Usually the installer will repair it for free.

Don't leave the screw in, and no, your tire is not going to blow up. Atleast I hope not.

Go to where you had the tires mounted and I am sure they will repair it for free, if not, its like 20 bux.

Consider leaving it in and just cutting the head off so it dosent do the click click? Then when it finally starts leaking go get it patched. **** depending on how long it is you might not have punctured the inner casing. Drive to the tire place and take it out in ther parking lot. if it leaks your safe. if it dont just drive back home.

Better to have a screw in your tire then to get tired of screwing.

hell, you could just repair it yourself, too, if you wanted. but if the shop is free, it's free.

Seeing that you are in Canada, I know all the tires shops here in Edmonton, repair tires for free. It only takes like 15 mins, just go get it taken out, and patched!

cool i'll take it to a shop asap. I'll try to take it out there in case it leaks like crazy.

the screw is in the tread (for those wondering if it's in the sidewall)
