Problems with clutch pedal pressure after replacing clutch, help!!!!!!
searched already!!! Well a friend decieded to change out his clutch. has a 00 si b16 motor with an gsr tranny. After changing out the clutch theres no pedal pressure. The speedometer doesnt work right. and the coolant fan does kick on anymore. anyone ever had a problem like this please help. any comments and suggestions would be appreciated.
well check to see if the vehicle speed sensor (vss) is plugged in. It's in the top of the tranny near the differential. Also check to see if the fan is plugged in and if the thermoswith (fan switch) in the thermostat housing is plugged in.
Are you getting any codes?
Is there fluid in the clutch master cylinder resivoir? Is the slave cylinder positioned right? Maybe its not pushing the shift fork and all its doing is filling with fluid.

BUMP for more insights to see if anyone ever had a prob like this. well they said that they didnt do anything with the fluid line so it should be ok. but they also said they bled the system a couple of times. Could improper installing of the throwout bearing cause no pressure also???
What kind of clutch? is the clutch working or not? Did he bleed the slave cylinder? Check hydrualic line from master to slave make sure its not broken. Some cluthes have different pivot points on the pressure plate so it feels different .
