Default help.

sup guys. Im a nub here and I need some help Im doing a 95 gsr swap to my 97 cx and my question is about the wiring what do I have to worry about? as far as v-tech goes and the knock sensor? does anyone have diagrams with pics. or any sites that can help me?.

um yeah....you're going to put an obd1 engine in an obd2 car, I'd say there is lots of wiring you're gonna have to do, and then you'll be lucky to pass emissions. The vT4k will be a simple 3 wire run to your ecu...searching on here will find all the answers you're looking for, just as the previous poster has pointed out.

OBD1 into an OBDII will NOT pass emissions anyplace... unless you run it as OBDII.

Search dude, there is TONS of info here, and elsewhere covering this.

FALSE! Ohio law says that if the OBDII interface plug is inaccessable for ANY reason, it will be givin a tailpipe test instead.

on-board diagnostics computer....obd1 just flashed a series of codes on your check engine light, obd2 can actually be hooked into by computers so that data and error codes can be retrieved.

A wiring harness, a cross over (Boomslang.com), there are other things you'll need as well.

thanx guys about the emissions test Im not worried about what Im worried about now is the wiring for the obd1 and obd2 problem. Where can I get diagrams for that matter. I really need my car back.

You may not be worried about the emissions now.. But you will be when it comes time for you to get your license tabs.
