Default car doesnt like to start when its hot outside

my car doesnt like warm starts. in the morning or evening when its cool outside itll start right up, but in the hot times of the day it wont start. this has become a major probem for me. what do i need to do? thanks.


the car is a 94 accord non vtec

it sounds like a main relay problem..............when car does not start, verify if it is lack od spark or fuel ,,if lack of fuel i would chk relay ,

i know how to check for fuel and spark, but if it is in fact the fuel, where is the relay?

... Left side of dashboard in vicinity of fusebox. It's behind the cruise control module, I believe it has a five wire connector. The bottom of it is green

dont mean tyo step on ur toes ole buddy but it has 7 wires going to it and looking from under it it is kind of,brownish/rusty color.......u need to remove cruise control box or u cannot really see it 2 10mm bolts

u know what if i remember corerctly i thing starting 94 they moved the relay to the rt side of steering column but am not 100% sure ..

could the fuel filter be my problem? i was told thats probably what it was, but i always thought if it was going out the car would "skip" at high rpms and i took it to up in the rpms and check and it didnt do anything.

Noooo, Believe DH and myself. It's the main relay.

A clogged fuel filter will effect high speed driving way before it would effect starting.

if it is your main relay you can test it by tapping it. If the car starts after you tap it, replace it. I have troubleshoot many a honda by doing that......... You can also take it apart and re-solder all of the joints and it will fix the issue most of the time.

so its on the right side of the steering wheel, brownish colored, with 7 wires going into it?
