Hey ya'll, just bought my first car. It's an 88 CRX Si for $800.....it's stock, it has 191,??? miles, needs some body work (nothing major), new paint, stereo, and some interior work.
Other then that the car runs good. I'm new at driving manual so im a lil shaky, but I'm getting use to it a lil.

yeah post some pics.. did you get it from craigslist? i saw one on there a while ago but dude never replied to my email. ive been looking for a rex about that price for a while in the denver area, and havent seen many listed.

i traded my 92 hatch for it and it was acttualy a good descision

thats pretty nice i paid 500 for my si hatch with 111xxx miles, but a bit of rust and mismatched hood and fenders. still great car for the price.

a engine swap, some body repairs and a good paintjob and you'll have a pretty nice ride. hows the interior look?

 

yeah... cut out that cancer before it spreads. My sedan had rust on the hood... just get a new one, and fast. Scout the junkyards until you find one cheap.

I personally think you should get a white hood. TOo many people here have black hoods and it's supposed to be some sort of fashion statement. Get a white hood to be different.

 

does the sunroof operate?

black= carbon fiber.... a very nice fashion statement

 

I'm in salt lake I have an 88 si rex the interior is completely stripped with the exception of the console door panels ceiling panel and seats and dash. it has a few small dents other than that its rust free and and beautiful. I just put agx and skunk2 coilovers on it. if your interested in buying it let me know. I am trying to same for a turbo kit for my integra.

haha nice ! my first car was a crx, at first i was like what the crap is this cause my dad got it from his friend. it was in such good condition but i blew the clutch (250k with stock clutch !) so my dad gave it back and i bought an ep3 later. sold the ep3 and now i miss the crx even though it aint that much of a chick magnet

The interior needs alot of work........had some pics but I think I deleted them, I'll put some up. And the sunroof...It works but it gets stuck so I don't open it until I get that fix.

 

Yeah that happens with a older car, but once you get it fix you'r gonna have fun with that sunroof open on a nice day, Btw at least you have one i don't...lol.

 

man i saw that one on craigslist, i was wondering why they didnt show pics of the right side.. but its really not that bad at all. just replace the hood and right fender and youll be ok.. nice car.

 

Its the way to go my first car was an 88 accord learned alot from rebuilding it but not nearly as much as I've learned from my 90 CRX I love that damn car! what do you think you want to do to it? swap ?
