CRX headlight problem
I have a 1991 CRX and I bought it for cheap as a daily driver and I knew there were some problems that needed to be fixed. Anyways the headlights don't work. When I first got it, the headlights would turn on and then fade off slowly after a few seconds of being on. But then shortly after they wouldn't turn on at all. I finally had a chance to look at it today and one of the fuses for the headlights was blown. So I replaced it and they turned on and turned right back off. So I thought the fuse was blown but I pulled it out and it was fine. So I put it back in and it still didn't work. Thinking maybe the fuse fucked up somehow I put a new one in and it didn't work at all. Oh and by the was these are just the low beams that don't work, the high beams and sidemarker lights work fine. Any ideas?
To me it sounds like headlight relay burned out as well, it's probably not the headlight switch if the high beams are coming on but it could be that too.
You may want to check to see if the bulbs are the correct wattage, and make sure there is not a short in the headlight circuit - sounds like something is pulling too much current in the circuit and burning stuff out. Sorry it's not very specific, hope it helps.
