My DIY front upper strut bar
well you see... i took that poor design off the bottom of my car, cut the ends off and welded in a longer peice in the middle to go from each side of the engine bay... as for the design... i am not sure why i choose that for the lower tie bar, but i do know i had to clear the intake tube under the hood, thus the bend outwords. you have to admit though, it looks alot better than my frist attempt... and i updayted my lower tie bar as well

Yeah and if not a photoshop it looks like it is just screwed into the metal around the strut tower. Looks solid other than the mounting....make it bolt directly to the strut tower.
It is not a photoshop...if you wanna see some of the stuff i Have photoshoped go to the link in my signiture and go to one of the last few pages... ANYWAYS... it is bolted to the metal that the tower bolts into...it made ease of instalation, and that way it cleared all the intake and other maddness in the engine bay. Also, when i installed it, i drilled through the metal and it was like 1/4" thinck... i dont think there is a problem with the mounting... but then again...I designed it.. so of course it is perfect
