Rebuilt Motor Now Won't Start....HELP!!!
I just rebuilt the original motor in my 89 Hatch and now it won't start. Just to eliminate any idiotic answers, I have already determined that I have spark, fuel and timing correct. Any other ideas would be a great help.
Also, I have tried starting it for about 30 mins with the motor turning over everytime.
HELP, if you can!!

Hmmm........what's missing? compression? I dunno.
Did you double check and triple check for gas and spark?
Makes no sense if its turning over. Maybe not strong enough battery?

when you say rebuilt, what do you mean. did you take apart the block and put in new components? head work? what was rebuilt. and what happened to it to cause the rebuild? do you have compression on all cylinders? and if so were the numbers normal or low or high? is your ecu throwing any codes? need more info..
Complete disassembly and reassembly. Replaced all lower end bearings, piston rings, valve guides, all gaskets, water pump, timing belt. I resurfaced the head and cleaned and relapped all valve seats to valves. Replaced all hoses.
You know a typical rebuild. If it was simply a compression issue the car would at least try to start. It turns over but doesn't attempt to fire up at all. I have tested that I have spark on all cylinders and that I have fuel.
I hope I have been able to clarify.

that makes no sense. fuel+Spark=Fire. Try starting it up with the Throttle WOT?

You need spark, fuel, compression and correct timing. Next step is compression testing it. If that is good the the timing for the spark or fuel must be off.
