Default Axle wont go into tranny?

Well i put my half shaft into my GSR tranny (quaife lsd) no problem slid right in. Then came the passenger side axle (gator stg3) Right now i can only get the axle in half way....and id hate to hit the end of the axle any harder than i already am with a very small rubber mallet...are there any tricks or tools to use to get this thing to slide in???

Maybe they made the wrong axle?

try removing the ring clip and sliding it in and see if it goes smoother. If not you may have to sand the outer edges of the shaft for any burrs.

I had the same problem before, it turns out that the spline of the axle were to blame. Glen from gator axles replaced it for me. Don't try and force the axle in, it's not fun taking it out.

27 splines on the gear, how many on the cup?

Could be like V-SPEC 1 said too.

If the spline count is right, you may need to try cleaning up the inside of the splines; it happened to me once.

I had to take a little hack saw and just run it once or twice through each groove; afterwards, it slid in like butter!
