Default Installed DA steering wheel... how to get horn to work?

Looking for anyone else that has a 93 integra steering wheel (4 spoke style) in their EF. The horn contacts are different, wondering if anyone has done this swap and has the horn working and how you did it. Btw, I detached the cruise control box, but left the blue/red wire hooked up (assuming this is the wire for the horn switch).

Just get a non-cruise control steering wheel. They came in the RS model Integras. Itll be way easier than trying to get your cruise control steering wheel to work.

Nice, you revived an old pointless thread...

Have you tried pushing on the center of the steering wheel?

That was a little harsh, even for you, N3va :-)

On topic...

First this is assumption, as I don't have an Integra wheel, but I would assume that the horn works like all (most) any other horn. It is just a Normally Open switch that when closed, completes the circuit to sound the horn. So I would start by finding the 2 wires that are for that switch, then graft them in to the CRX's horn wiring.

Worst case, you could run a hot wire to the wheel contact, then a switched wire back to the horn, bypassing the Rex's wiring alltogether.

Back from the dead...to this day I still have the 93 da wheel w/ the cruise control buttons on my ef. I use the cc resume button as the horn button. IIRC, I ran a wire from the metal ring for the horn contact and wired it to the cc button. Pretty sure I had to bend one of the contacts that touches the metal ring and do some other minor altercations for it to work. Although 6 years later and I've had no problems with it...keeps my middle finger on the wheel
