Drag slick question... LONG...
OK I just got my slicks in the mail, Bogarts with MT 20\8\14. Now my question is this. How far off is my gearing going to be with this size slick. Will I be in 5th by the end of the 1/4 or will I be near the top of 4th?? Should I go with the MT 22\8\14 to get it a little closer to my stock wheel size??? What to do??
My set-up going to be this by the time race season starts here.
98 GSR,Built bottom with JE/SRP 11.0-1 pistons,Eagle rods,block guard,bored to 81.5,race port\polish head,Crower springs/Tit. retainers,Type R intake valves,Crower 403's,Apexi VFAC,Rechipped ecu towards the Skunk2 program,RC 310's,fuel rail,fuel pump,MSD ignition system,and finally the NOS plate system jetted to a 100-150, more an likely the 150 jetting. Racing only after it gets dyno tuned.Oh and stripped interior for the 1st test and tune just too see.
Last year I ran a 14.01 @102.65 With I/H/E and a 75 shot on the ZEX system on my 17" Racing Harts With Kumho's..
So what you guys think???

ummmm, not thaaaaat familiar with slicks... but I really don't think you will see 5th gear int he 1/4. How much do a good set of slicks cost? I heard the wrinkle walls can tear up oem axles if you are laying down a lot of power off the line.... true?
