Default Slicks question (please don't move)

OK, i know this is probably a wheel and tire question but there are hardly any people in that section. My question is simple. I have an 88 CRX thats lowered 2 inches. It has 205/40-16's that have an overal dia af about 22" and width of about 8". I am about to buy some big slicks for my new turbo setup and was going for 22x8x13 M/T's. Now i know this sounds silly, though the slicks size is that of my current tire, but do you think they will rub when they expand at speed. Turning etc. I have NO rub issues at all now on radials and the last slicks i had were 20x6x14s and if anything, my damn header drug on the ground in the burnout box. Thank you in advance and sorry for the wrong forum, but I know a ton of you guys run slicks in here and many with the same chassis.

i would expect a slick that size to grow around 1/2" on the top end, but this question is more suited to drag racing

well hell, i didn't even see that section. Slap me silly and call me....anyway, if a mod can move it that feel free, for some reason I thought it would mostly pertain to wheels and tires and that is a pretty slim crowd. Sorry for the mix-up. Been in the forum for several years. doh. Well, any feedback would be greatly appreaciated.

Thanks

Are your front springs adjustable height wise? If not, you may want to invest in some. If you ever want to run larger slicks, you will need to be able to raise your car. I think the 22's should be ok, however.

someday i will, but i doubt i will ever run 22's more that a dozen times and then i am just going to have the car as a weekend toy. I just wanted to make SURE that i wasn't going to rub when i put these on. Thanks all
