AC Problem
Well....I used the search function to find some answers, (and I learned quite a bit from reading the posts) but I couldn't find an answer. The AC on my Accord (1990 EX) is out. I was told the compressor was bad, so I replaced it, as well as the drier. I also got the expansion valve, but I didn't put it in because the one in the car is good....I think. Well, I filled it with R134; it worked for 2 days, then went out. I took the car in, and they said I had a leak in the high pressur valve, which they fixed, and also filled the car with freon and R134. I go to turn it on, and it doesn't work. I took the car back to see if they can find another leak...still waiting to hear from them.
Now for the weird part. When I turn the AC button on, the green light doesn't come on. BUT, if I turn the button on in the morning, it always works. Has anyone experienced this or has a clue why the AC light will come on in the morning (when its cool) and not in the afternoon, and why no cool air is coming out. When I turn the switch on, the AC fan comes on also. Thanks.
