THe wierdest sh** ever
I have a 93 Accord EX
So I just got my transmission replaced and now the light which tells you which gear your in ex. P R N D4 D3 2 1 starts to flash around D4 whenever I drive. Also my speedometer went out and my check engine light is now on. I also switched to 15w 40 oil coiuld that affect it?

Oil has no affect
I believe the Blinking D4 is similar to your CEL.... gives error codes for the tranny.
As far as your speedo, could be several things.... VSS, bad connection in harness.....

Since your speedometer went out and the D4 light is blinking I would say your VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) or the connection is bad. Take it back to where you had the tranny replaced and have them look at it.

BTW, 15w40 is used most commonly by Diesel pickup trucks. EXTREMELY heavy weight. I'd recommend switching back to 10w30, or 5w30.

In the summer months, NO 15w x 40 is ok.
It could cause a slow crank condition in cold weather (however), and in Portland (whatever state) it does get cold!!!
