Default hit a damn skunk...

i hit a skunk the other nite and damn it sucked bad...the sorry thing is he sprayed my car rite b4 i hit it...now my front bumper is stained with yellow dots all over and i cant seem to get it off...i washed the car and scrubbed it hella hard and nothing is coming off...any ideas guys?...the smell almost killed me and my gf...the worst thing is the stains though...it was on fair oaks and howe, one of the bussiest intersections in sac too

alot people use tomato juice to get rid of the smell I dont know how you would use it in your car, that sucks though I hate fu%king skunks.

for the stains, i'd say use a small amount of DILUTED goof off. as for the scent....maybe tape some "speed car fresheners" to you bumper for a while. lol i dunno man, the scent is beyond my knowledge. lol good luck with everything though

I ran over a skunk before too... Lucky that **** didn't spray first but damn.. it sure did stink for like 2-3 weeks

sucks man, for the stains id try a good cleaner wax or rubbing compound.

Pics of the damage? Maybe try using a LITTLE gasoline to get the spots off, then wash it off immediately. Not sure about the smell though.

the two things for smell that you could use are tomato juoice or douche... but i dont know how you would use that on your car... itsw probably all up in your radiator.

it will fade after a lil while if you could oput up with it

lucky the area i live at don't have skunk, instead we have to deal with them big old possum (sp?) but good luck with removing the stain.

Electric buffer and cleaner wax, if that doesn't work, rubbing compound, then polishing compound, then wax.

damn man, honda community now officially hates thieves, scammers, and skunks.
Erm, I'd say clay bar it. I've heard of tobasco sauce taking it out of clothes, etc, but iuno bout a car... that sucks dude.

thanks for all the suggestions...yea the smell is gone now...luckily i wiped most of the stuff off rite after i hit the damn thing...god did the smell stink up the whole neighborhood...the morning after i washed the car immediately...kinda got alot of the smell away...its just small yellow stains, kinda like the bug guts splattered on the front bumper, but its not washing away...i tried scrubbing it with sponge thats about it...yea i didnt want to start using all kinds of different chemicals because i dont want to mess up the paint...its only a year old...this hella sucks...where can i get the clay bar stuff?...is it specifically for this kind of job?...thanks guys

my sister hit a skunk,

we got some tomato juice and put that in a spray bottle and sprayed the car down.. it got rid of most of the smell and we washed it off

The clay bar can be found in kits at your local pep boys, advanced auto, auto zone, etc...
I bought a Mothers Clay bar kit for like $16.00 a couple months ago.

The Clay bar removes deposits and other stuff that works its way into the paint over the years...just make sure to follow the directions and don't drop the bar

Your paint will feel very smooth afterwards...and your spots should be gone...gl

the clay maginb clay bar works great but you need to find a automotive paint or detailing store for it, if you find the clay magic brand use the blue one
